Refund Policy & Terms of Service

Snappy Gurus Ltd  ·  Effective: June 2026

This document sets out the Refund Policy and Terms of Service for Snappy Gurus Ltd. It covers two distinct services: our Live Courses and our 1-to-1 Mentoring. Please read both sections that apply to you carefully.

Part 1

Refund Policy

Live Course Refund Policy

Our Live Courses are mentored graduate programmes delivered remotely over 10-13 weeks, offered in small cohorts with September and February intakes.

1.1 Payment Structure

When you book a place on a Live Course, your payment is split into two parts:

  • A deposit to reserve your place in the cohort.
  • A balance payment, which is due before your course begins.

We also offer a Klarna instalment option (3 equal interest-free payments) and a flexible plan of up to 10 monthly instalments. Instalment plans are subject to the same refund terms below.

1.2 Your Statutory Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your booking within 14 calendar days of making your initial payment, without needing to give a reason.

If you cancel within this 14-day window:

  • You are entitled to a full refund of all payments made, including your deposit.
  • We will process your refund within 14 calendar days of receiving your cancellation notice.
  • Refunds will be made to your original payment method.

To cancel within your cooling-off period, contact us at enquiries@snappygurus.com with your name and course details. No specific reason is required.

1.3 Cancellation After the Cooling-Off Period

Before the first lesson

  • Your deposit is non-refundable. It covers administration costs, cohort reservation, and preparation work undertaken on your behalf.
  • Your balance payment (and any remaining instalments not yet collected) is fully refundable.
  • If you are on an instalment plan and have paid more than the deposit amount, the surplus above the deposit will be refunded.

On or after the first lesson

  • No refund is available once your first lesson has taken place, as the service has commenced.
  • We strongly encourage you to contact us before the first lesson if you are having second thoughts. We may be able to transfer your place to a future intake.

1.4 Course Cancelled by Snappy Gurus

If we are unable to run a course for any reason, you will receive a full refund of all payments made, including your deposit. We will notify you as early as possible and issue your refund within 14 calendar days.

1.5 Transferring Your Place

If you are unable to proceed with your booked intake, you may request a transfer to a future intake before the first lesson. Transfers are subject to availability and must be requested at least 7 days before the course start date. Your deposit remains non-refundable. You may only transfer your place once.

1.6 Instalment Plans and Third-Party Finance

Your right to a refund applies to the total amount paid at the time of cancellation. We will initiate the refund to the original payment method and, where applicable, notify Klarna or our payment processor. Any outstanding instalments that have not yet been collected will be cancelled. We are not responsible for any fees or charges imposed by third-party finance providers.

1-to-1 Mentoring Refund Policy

Our 1-to-1 Mentoring service connects you with working industry professionals for individual sessions booked using credits. Because mentoring involves the time of an independent professional, the refund terms differ from our courses.

2.1 How Sessions Work

  • You purchase session credits and use them to book a session with a mentor of your choosing.
  • Sessions take place via video call (e.g. Google Meet, Zoom) using your mentor's booking link.
  • Session length, focus, and preparation requirements are agreed between you and your mentor at the time of booking.

2.2 Cancellation and Rescheduling

We expect both mentors and mentees to treat each other's time with respect.

If your mentor cancels

  • With 24 or more hours' notice: your session credit will be returned to your account for rescheduling.
  • With less than 24 hours' notice, or if no notice is given: your session credit is returned. If you cannot agree a new time within 14 days, you may request a monetary refund.
  • If a mentor cancels or reschedules the same booking more than once without a satisfactory explanation, you may raise a dispute (see Disputes section).

If you (the mentee) cancel

  • With 24 or more hours' notice: your session credit will be returned to your account.
  • With less than 24 hours' notice: your session credit is forfeited. No refund applies, as the mentor has reserved time for your session.
  • If you do not attend and do not contact your mentor: your session credit is forfeited.

2.3 When Refunds or Credit Returns Apply

  • Your mentor did not attend the session and made no contact before or after.
  • Your mentor cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice and no rescheduled session took place within 14 days.
  • Your mentor engaged in misconduct, harassment, or behaviour that breached our Code of Conduct.
  • Your mentor significantly misrepresented their experience, qualifications, or the scope of what they could offer.
  • A significant technical failure on the mentor's side prevented any meaningful session from taking place. This must be reported within 24 hours of the scheduled session time.

2.4 When Refunds Do Not Apply

  • You attended a session but were unsatisfied with the advice or guidance received.
  • The session did not result in the outcome you were hoping for.
  • You cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice.
  • You did not attend and did not contact your mentor.
  • You were underprepared or did not engage meaningfully during the session.
  • The session was completed as agreed between you and your mentor.
  • More than 30 days have passed since the session took place and no dispute was previously raised.

Disputes and Investigations

If you believe you are entitled to a refund or credit return and cannot resolve the matter directly with your mentor, you can raise a formal dispute with us.

How to raise a dispute

  • Use the Report function on the Snappy Gurus website, or email enquiries@snappygurus.com with your name, the mentor's name, the session date, and a description of the issue.
  • Please raise disputes within 30 days of the session or incident.

Our process

  • We will acknowledge your dispute within 3 working days.
  • We may request supporting evidence (booking confirmation, messages, screenshots).
  • We will aim to reach a decision within 10 working days.
  • Both parties will be informed of the outcome. Our decision is final.

Snappy Gurus acts as a platform connecting mentees with independent mentors. We are not party to the session itself. Our role in disputes is to mediate fairly and in good faith, but we cannot guarantee a particular outcome.
